The age old question when it comes to the ink jet printing of images.
Steps to achieve this:
Calibrate your monitor with a hardware calibrator so what you see is actually correct! Otherwise any editing you do is moot.
Out of the box monitor are NOT calibrated for image editing. They are set very bright, maximum contrast and tend to sway toward blue.

Print using ICC profiles for the Paper / Printer and Inks you are using.
Learn how to set up your CANON PRO-100 printer driver so you are actually printing through that ICC profile.
Use the PRINTO STUDIO SHOP plugin which makes the process pretty much fool proof.
